“Fish kofta with yoghurt, sumac and chilli” from “Falastin”

Kirstin: Today was the first day that lockdown restrictions were eased in the UK. Although my mum said she would come around, she was worried that she wasn’t used to being around other people, which I could understand. All those weeks by herself, with only the occasional visit from us was no substitute for being with humans. Anyway, finally, FINALLY it was possible. Outside. 2 metres away. I made her fish koftas which she said she wasn’t going to eat but then not only ate but took the leftovers too. So that’s a result because cooking for just one I know has been a trial for her. Our neighbours donated some green lentils from one of the recipes they made the same night from the same book. Because all the Middle Eastern flavours. Have I mentioned how much I love this book? I LOVE THIS BOOK!
