Kirstin: It must be autumn, there’s a new Jamie Oliver book out.
Maureen: Just in time for Christmas presents
Kirstin: Another year, another Jamie Oliver book. why does every recipe need to have a double spread?
Maureen: In some cases, it’s multiple pages of photos for one recipe. You’ll be surprised to hear that Time Out gave it five stars out of five. Nicholas said, “Somebody must have bribed somebody.”
Kirstin:Oooh. Chicken Tikka Marsala!
Maureen: Look! Multiple pages! Six pages for one recipe.
Kirstin: I like it when they tell me how long it’s going to take, though we all know how much we can trust him on that. Not.
Maureen: I like that there’s calorie counts. Not that I use them all the time, but it’s nice to know so you can be aware. So Jamie says that the point of this book is that you take time, care and attention with all of these recipes. Basically, it’s the complete opposite of the last three books.
Kirstin: It will be nice to use butter again, after all these healthy months.
Maureen: I completely agree.
