Tom: Is this a different recipe from the usual Guinnness cake?
Kirstin: No, it’s exactly the same. But it wanted me to put icing around the sides and cocoa on the top.
Simon: But that’s ridiculous!
Kirstin: Exactly. Because then it doesn’t look like Guinness!
Tom: Well, it tasted great.
Kirstin: Yes, it was really moist.
Kirstin: Do you think that was because I’ve made it enough times, so I know when to put the foil on the top? Which is after half an hour in the oven, by the way. Oh, interesting! The Nigella version of this has more Philadelphia cheese, and less sugar. Ooh, and let me look at the proportions….
Tom: So this isn’t identical to the Nigella version?
Kirstin: It’s pretty much identical. But the icing is different.
Jenny: I think this is one of your best, because it’s much more moist.
Simon: More moisterer, is what you mean. I think.
Tom: Coffee, anyone?
Jenny: Yes. And I am going to have another piece of cake, actually.
